Paraben-Free Skincare - Free Of Artificial Preservatives

Paraben-free underlineskincare products are increasingly popular and many brands are available, but just because something is free of parabens does not, necessarily, mean that it is free of artificial preservatives. It’s kind of like the hypoallergenic ones.People that are prone to allergic reactions must carefully read the label of ingredients. That is especially true if a product is manufactured in the US, because there are few regulations regarding what ingredients a company can and cannot use.

In the European Union, over 1000 different ingredients have been banned from use in cosmetics. In the US, less than a dozen are banned. So, while it is getting easier to find paraben-free skincare cleansers and lotions, US manufacturers still have a long way to go when it comes to provided safe ones.

The term hypoallergenic skincare means nothing in the US. Neither do the advertising phrases “natural” or “doctor tested”. Any company can make those claims, without having any proof to back them up. The proof is on the label.

Instead of looking for hypoallergenic skincare solutions, you might try looking for ones that are free of allergens and irritants. They might be harder to find, but it’s worth your time to look for them.

Many of the paraben-free skincare solutions on the market still contain other allergens. One of the most common allergens is “fragrance” or “parfum”. Even naturally occurring fragrances can cause unwanted reactions, especially when they are concentrated.

All hypoallergenic skincare lotions should be fragrance-free. Everyone likes to smell nice, but lotions and moisturizers are meant to be used on large areas of the body. The more exposure you have, the worse your reaction could be.

Every cosmetic manufacture could provide paraben-free skincare creams, if they wanted to. There are safe, natural preservatives that are not bad for our short or long term health. Natural vitamin E, for example, is an effective preservative and a good antioxidant.

The use of creams containing antioxidants can help you delay the signs of skin aging. Dermatologists have determined that free radical damage is largely responsible for wrinkles, sagging and other signs of age. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, before they can do any damage and they also repair damage that has already occurred.

The best hypoallergenic skincare creams are anti-aging solutions that contain natural vitamin E and coenzyme Q10. COQ10 has more antioxidant activity than many other antioxidants combined. If it is properly formulated, it can penetrate deeply through all of the skin’s many layers, neutralizing free radicals and repairing damage along the way.
